It’s the suspense that’s killing me!

Photo of the day: waiting for the flood to pass through Bangkok so things can get back to normal. While several areas in the city are flooded, other parts are dry but no one knows for how long. The fact that the high tide is also due this weekend doesn’t make things easier. If I celebrated Halloween I might have gone for a mermaid costume. Or a fish.

Later on, I went out to meet a friend. During a visit to the ladies’ I saw this sign and it made me smile. I needed that.

Hope the floods abate and things come back to normal. It is always tough when the roads are flooded and the transport system is hit. That sign made me smile 🙂 Hope atleast the Thai version was not upside down 🙂

  2. I hope the flood is over soon!

    The sign made me laugh.

Flooding is never a good thing … and flooding when a high tide is supposed to come in is even worse. Stay dry and be safe! Love the pink statue!

Thanks, Jen. It may take some time before the city gets back to life but we can only hope that time is soon. I don’t remember ever seeing Bangkok so deserted…

Two and a half weeks later and finally they say the water is receding. I can finally move the washing machine back downstairs!
